Young Workforce (added 27/01/2017)
The mock interview programme was launched by Kevin Thomson from the Army. He held 2 assemblies for S5 and 6. CV writing, job applications and interview skills were topics he covered. The young people also completed a skills sheet highlighting their strengths and areas they could improve. All S6 and S6 transition teachers them followed Barclays Bank life skills activities to help prepare your young people for the mock interview at the end of the programme. All summer leavers and pupils undecided in their future were invited to attend the mock interview morning where they were interviewed by employers relevant to their interests and received feedback from all the interviewers. Both interviewees and employers completed feedback forms with 100% of our young people who attended expressing that they felt it was a very worth while opportunity. The employers were very impressed with our young people and gave very appropriate and relevant feedback on their interview skills. Another opportunity will be happening for our summer leavers this April. Have a look in our gallery at the photographs of the mock interview process.
